This is the definition of my study plan.

 

1. Goals

 

These goals were defined in 6 Feb 2015. My goals are a concrete description of my challenges during VET-Teachers for the Future Program.

 

  • Learn how to apply Project Based Learning, in a practical way, in business/management area;

  • Learn how was the evolution of Project Based Learning in Finnish universities of applied science, since they have started to use this model;

  • Learn about Finnish basic education system;

  • Learn how to write scientific papers in English language;

  • Know and visit some Finnish companies to understand how they develop projects that can be used by universities;

  • Stablish some partnerships with Finland companies and universities.

Observation Plan

 

Observations in Business, Engineering and ICT area. 

Goal: introducing new teachinh methods in Business classes:

1) Observe business classes: marketing, business and the using of project based learning and problem based learning

2) Observe IT classes: programming classes using learning by doing

3) Observe Engineering classes: PBL approach lectures

4) Observe language classes: English for business/company skills

5) Observe ICT classes: games development and their educational use

 

Observations in Demola. 

Goal: interaction between students/university/company:

6) Observe Demola projects: Students first presentations and networking with companies

7) Observe Demola projects: Students meetings with client – requirements 

8) Observe Demola projects: Students mid pitching presentation

9) Observe Demola projects: Game Factory and final presentations

 

Observations in PBL lectures 

Goal: understand the PBL pedagogical approach - student centered learning

10º) Observe PBL classes: physiotherapists and uses of PBL in classroom

11º) Observe PBL classes: mechanical engineering students and proactical classes 

 

Observations in different Finnish Universities

 

Goal: observe different learning environments and understand how to improve Brazilian classrooms 

12) Future classroom - understand how to use new technologies in classrooms

13) Observe Poorvo Haaga-Helia environment: laboratories, library, classrooms, auditoriums

14) Observe TAMK and Mediapolis environment: laboratories, library, classrooms, auditoriums and 

15) Observe TUT environment: laboratories, library, classrooms, auditoriums
