Observation #4 – International Cooperation Between Universities – Marketing Project

Course: International Business at TAMK.
This observation was about team working, branding and marketing studies in international business courses.
The class was a presentation from students of universities from different countries. At TAMK (Finland), students of international business developed their work together with students of other universities from: Netherlands, Czech Republic and Sweden.
The presentation was a pitching about a marketing analysis and branding advises regarding 4 Ps of marketing: price, place, promotion and product. The students have chosen some stores to make their analysis: Sokos, Sale, Plus, CityMarket, Prisma, Siwa, Globus, Albert Heijin, and others. The idea was to carry on a retail analysis along some time and propose some different positioning actions for each brand.

Environment: technological environment where students work through Internet tools. The presentation has being done through conference equipment, each group combined students from different countries.
Social environment: it could be observed the interaction between students from different languages in English, as they study in International Business courses. Students share responsibilities regarding marketing analysis and projects to each brand.
Psychological environment: teacher scaffold knowledge construction, working as coaches and active student-centered approach could be observed.
